Effat University draws up a road map for the transfer of technology from fifth generation to sixth generation

Several science sessions and workshops at the 17th Conference of Learning and Technology (L&T 2020) were organized by Effat University.  The sessions included presentations of papers on the technological advancements that underscored the best practices and innovations in learning and technology.

Mazhar Bari, first vice president of technology and innovation at Siemens Saudi Arabia and president of MindSphere Application Centre (MAC) and an expert in the field of renewable energies and digitized energy, emphasized that the sixth-generation technologies (6G) will help build a neuro awareness system. This system integrates artificial intelligence and wireless recognition to provide smart responses supported by speed which is expected to reach 1TB in second.

According to Dr. Abdurahman Al-Sheikh, consultant and technological engineer of Big Innovation Center, the digital economy that is based on 6G will be the decisive factor for the competitive value of states in the future. 6G technique will be the main engine of the digital economy.

Lubna Al-Saud, an expert of educational technology, said that 6G networks will not be just ways to move data quickly, but it will also merge the computing infrastructure more smoothly as part of the telecommunication infrastructure framework and integrated computing which would provide many potential benefits, including the access to artificial intelligence capabilities.

She noted that the government aims, within the framework of Saudi Vision 2030, to develop information and communication technology infrastructure, especially the services of high-speed broadband, extend coverage, enhance the receptive energy of communication technologies within cities and their suburbs and improve their quality.
